I'm a lucky lady who found the man of her dreams on a blind date, of all things, back in 1971. It was love at first sight for both of us. Here in the blog I refer to him as my Maintenance Man. If you know him, you know why - the man can do anything! The summer of 2008 we took the trip of a lifetime to Alaska. We have created this blog to keep our family and friends informed with pictures and stories. We have 4 beautiful granddaughters and one grandson. The most recent granddaughter was born 12/8/12 and I'm really trying to enjoy her more because you never know if she will be our last little one. There could be more, but you just never know. Could life get any better?
We had a real nice visit with our son and dil this weekend and couldn't believe how much Muffin had changed. It's been a while and between my sinus infection and her little illness we just couldn't get a time together. Until this weekend! They've gotten a lot of little things to get her used to having a new baby around, crib, highchair and lots of babies. Very good idea in my opinion!! Punkin is coming in about a month and there will be some big changes for little Muffin. From the way that she plays with her little dolls I think she's going to be a GREAT BIG SISTER!!
I love when she gives the little doll a kiss before putting her in the highchair.... oh yeah, that's the same doll that she then grabs by the hair and yanks out of the chair lol.
I've found that I have a lot of videos that I just don't get around to posting about, but some day when time slows down a little (like that's ever going to happen) I'll go back and post about those. Isn't Muffin just adorable?
I've been working on this all week and today it WILL be up for all to see. Last Sunday on our way home from vacation we stopped at my daughter and sil's for Lil Peanut's Second Birthday. She is such a loving and caring child as you will see.
She learned real quick that if it's clothing you hold it up to yourself. Nevermind that it's upside down... see it fits lol
She is one of millions of children that watch "BOLT" over and over again... I think I've seen it about 10 times. When she opened this she was in heaven. Her heart just opened up and she didn't want to set it down. Her Mom got it away from her once so she could open other gifts and she panicked when she couldn't find him.
Hence, she's holding Bolt while admiring her new tumblers and pitcher set.
We somehow got her to step outside and see her new sand and water play station. She really enjoyed this too.
Her Daddy plays a lot of instruments so you know she loved her own guitar.
MM got this little video clip of Muffin and her Daddy (our Son). She loves to stand up. Is she not precious?
Peanut had a lot of fun with this little baking set too. It comes with a baking mitt and a cookie sheet that has velcro to hold the cookies to the tray. She was delivering cookies to everyone. Ever the hostess.
I was really glad that we got to go to this party because last year we had to miss her Birthday. I just love being with my little girls - it just warm my heart to watch them learn and grow. They are precious. Happy Second Birthday Peanut!!
