Easter Update

Easter this year was a ton of fun. Peanut really gets what she's supposed to do and Muffin had fun gnawing on a plastic egg. Snagged a few of these pictures from my son's facebook and don't know why they are different sizes. He has a really terrific camera.

The girls on the porch....they aren't really into sitting for a picture.


Muffin loves exploring the outside and looking for eggs... or maybe just chewing on the plastic egg.


Peanut totally got into finding eggs this year.. think she knows there's something inside.


And daffodils are definitely a sign that Spring is here. Do these bulbs multiply? Hope so.


MM spent the better part of two days last week making this really cool horse out of a tire for Peanut to take home. Now he has to find another 'non-steel belted' tire to make another one. Although it's not easy to make, it's even harder finding the right kind of tire.

My Girls In Action

Sorry I've been so busy lately, but I've been busy! lol I have a couple of videos clips to share with you. I have a third one, but I can't figure out how to do a quickmovie into youtube to then share :(

This next one was taken this weekend when Papa had both girls for a couple of hours. I think he's a great Papa!!



They both had a great time together. I know they are my granddaughters because they have their tongues out when they are concentrating on something lol.

Being one of three sisters in my family I immediately liked this book. I also found it very interesting in the birth order and how similar their roles were. Is it like that in all families? Great read. I can't wait to order more books by Kristin Hannah. I love her writing and how she draws everything out into the open.

Gotta laugh, it looks like all I do is read and I haven't read in quite a while. I just haven't had time to post lol

This is definitely a book that spans generations of readers. I'm not so young anymore :), but I can imagine my daughter and younger friends reading this and getting as much enjoyment out of it as I did. It's something that all youth (especially girls) go through and somehow come out on the other side.

It also poignantly points out that we all don't want the same thing - and that's okay. Myself, I always wanted to be a Mom. Listening to others growing up in the '60's that just wasn't cool. What about 'YOU'? Well, that's what I want.... to be the best Mom I know how. This is a great read. Can't wait to read more of Kristin Hannah.

Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah

I am so lucky. My daughter got this book as part of a 'HouseParty' and when she was finished with it she passed it on to me. I haven't read Firefly Lane or True Colors yet, but I'm really looking forward to them after reading this.

This was a great read and brings to point that we really never know where someone else comes from. Sometimes when we think they are hard or rude we need to step back and not take judgement because we don't really know what's going on. This book is all about that. The daughters think their mother is a cold hearted person that never loved them. When they learn her true story it all comes into focus for them all. Great book, you won't be able to put it down.

After a horrific incident M runs off from friends and family to reinvent herself (who wouldn't want to do that). Starting by making one friend she finds a place to rent with his girlfriend. She lives under a lucky star and with her natural born beauty and class she's on her way.

Upon reaching heights she has only dreamed of her past comes back to haunt her. Reunited with her famiily she is finally able to confront the past and overcome the family adversity. Good read.

The Secret Promise

So has anyone read "The Secret"? It's a very interesting book on how to live your life to achieve all your goals and happiness. I've been cleaning and I found this paper that is:
