Decorating Done For This Season

I say 'for this season' because we all know that if you own a home it is never ending. So, back in January/February my MM created a closet over the stairs, built a cupboard around the phone/message center and put up a shelf for teapots around the dining room. And after all that was done, he did the painting. Wonder why I call him my Maintenance Man?

This closet provided an enormous amount of storage space that is really close to the kitchen area.

I love the added wall I get in the living room. The "FAITH" wall hanging was made with products from Upper Case Living home parties.

This wall in the dining area is so much neater with the message center and phone behind closed doors. Notice the new shelf going around the dining room. I love that it appears to be floating.

I've always displayed lots of family photos in the hallway.

The stencil looking wording is also from Upper Case Living. You can pick from any design or phrases they have or design your own. From the words to the font, size and color. Really cool product.

I was trying to decide what picture to put on the living room wall and remembered that we took some phenomenal picture on our Alaskan trip. I think it turned out really nice.

On another note. My niece made a comment about still having a corded phone. I do have a couple of cordless phones, but this one has always been there and I found no reason to replace it. Does anybody else still own a phone with a cord? Just checking.

Wow, I love the new look. You have such a beautiful home. You're a lucky girl to have such a handy hubby. We have so much that needs to be fixed at our house, but the hubby doesn't seem to have the time lately. He's a busy guys. I'd love the house painted. Thanks for sharing all your pretty updates.

Very nice! I like having family photos in our house too.

And I DO have a corded phone in my house... I keep it in case the power goes out... cordless phones won't work with no power. Course, we all have cell phones now, though!

Regarding the corded phone. Yes we have one. If the power goes out the cordless phones are no good but a corded phone will still work. So we have always kept one corded phone.

I love the colors of you walls. Great job. Everything looks wonderful. I can't wait to really see it.

(((hugs)))
