Need Motivation

I don't know what's with me lately, but I just can't seem to get motivated.... to do anything. In the evening I sit and think of all things I want to do 'tomorrow'. Tomorrow comes and I think 'I'll do that later'. Later comes and then I begin to think 'tomorrow I'll do that'. Need I say more, it's vicious! Hope I get with it soon, because there is a lot to do. Don't get me wrong, I'm doing what has to be done (laundry, cooking, shopping), but just not my usual of doing lots of stuff.

I have a few quilts started, need to make a Christmas mitten for Pumpkin who will have a first Christmas in 2010. Still need to order some stuff for the garden this year. You get the idea... I can't even work out in the morning... I'll do that later lol. Only later it's tomorrow.

I'm hoping I snap out of this soon, because I'm even getting tired of it.

Any suggestions? I'll even consider drugs (I mean meds). Snap out of it girl!!!

Seems like drugs would help if you think it's an issue of depression... otherwise, only cocaine or caffeine would help (ha ha, kidding about the cocaine!) ;-)

No, really... maybe you just need some down time? What if you "allowed" yourself one week to do absolutely nothing in the evenings but sit and read or watch tv? I bet after a week you'd be bored and ready to get back to your usual.

Alternatively, sometimes getting started is the hardest part for me. Maybe you could try telling yourself you'll do one, very small task this evening. Who knows, you may decide to do more once you get started. But you have to commit to it - "just do it" - don't think about it.

Let us know how it's going...

Lists! When I start to catch myself wasting days away, I make a list so I know exactly what I should be doing when I have a minute....

I think a week of nothing makes a more productive week the following week always!

All very good suggestions. Gonna work on that starting right now. Writing a list, walking in the sunshine, going camping this weekend... one thing at a time "just do it". Okay, I'm on the right track. Thanks for all the LOVE!

I think I feel the same way. Maybe we just have to much to do so we just don't want to do any thing.
